The Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" launches a new series of exhibition projects under the general title #TRACTION. Each project will be implemented in cooperation of the Manege with leading Russian and foreign cultural institutions. The mission of the project: to acquaint the audience of the city with the works of Russian and international artists, as well as to present interdisciplinary curatorial projects carried out at exhibition sites outside of St. Petersburg. Thus, the Manege becomes a place of realization of the impulse of “attraction” that exists between cultural institutions and their audience, transferred to a tangible level of exhibition projects.

WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art was founded in 2007 in Moscow by Sofya Trotsenko. This is a unique platform on which the leading Moscow galleries of modern art, workshops of artists, designers and photographers, cafes, showrooms, children’s studios, a bookstore and much more are concentrated. By combining all areas of modern culture, the Center for Contemporary Arts Winzavod supports contemporary Russian art and creates a comfortable environment for its development.

One of the main projects of the VINZAVOD Design Center, Best of Russia, unites amateur and professional photographers, personal stories and events of general significance. Photos in categories - “Nature”, “People. Developments. Everyday life ”,“ Architecture ”,“ Style ”and the special theme of the 2016 project,“ Engage in happiness ”, created in conjunction with the official partner S7 airline, are dedicated to everything that surrounds us and is inextricably linked with our life, it worries, inspires and delights. At the exhibition, all nominations are presented in an abridged version.

The project is already nine years old, last year it was attended by residents of different cities aged 16 to 82, who sent about 30 thousand photos. The international jury of the project: photographers, editors, cultural figures - selected 300 best photos.

“Hurray… Sculpture!” Is a kind of revision of the modern art process in the field of sculpture. In addition to famous artists, the exhibition will feature sculptures by young authors working with various materials, from bronze to paper. The organizers of the exhibition are wondering if modern sculpture is possible in the current Russian art situation.
