“THE NATURE OF BINARITY” - under this general name, an exhibition of works by Russian artists created within the framework of the All-Russian Forum of Youth Creative Workshops “ART Workshop XXI” will open at two sites. The exhibition will feature works by young promising authors from different parts of our country, their mentors and recognized masters of contemporary art.

The project is based on the work of 5 creative workshops: “Pros and Cons” (headed by N. Palazhchenko); “Truth and Falsehood” (headed by E. Semenov); “Freedom and Permissiveness” (headed by D. Babayan); “Creation and Destruction” (headed by A. Zhernoklyuev) and “Self and Facelessness” (headed by A. Artamonov). In the exhibition hall of the St. Petersburg branch of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (Nevsky Prospekt 60), project participants and their mentors will present works created in 3 of them: “True and False”; “Freedom and Permissiveness” and “Self and Facelessness”. The works created in two more workshops: “Pros and Cons” and “Creation and Destruction” will be available at the ArtPlay Design Center (Krasnogvardeiskaya Square, 3E).

“We hope that the exhibition will arouse keen interest not only of representatives of the creative professions, but also of serious collectors interested in modern fine art, as well as businessmen,” said the President of the Union of Artists of Russia, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation K.V. Khudyakov. - The works created by young artists under the guidance of recognized masters and passed competitive selection, in our opinion, have a good investment potential. The exhibition was the result of a large-scale project of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, which provides a unique opportunity for young talented artists from various regions of the Russian Federation to try their hand in teamwork under the guidance of recognized masters of fine art.

The curators selected 85 authors from among the most talented and promising young artists to participate in the project. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the project participants for about two months created independent work on given topics. Further, based on the results of the competitive selection, the experts approved 140 works that will be presented in St. Petersburg.

“THE NATURE OF BINARITY” will also be shown in Vladimir, Kaliningrad, Tolyatti, Stavropol and Moscow. Within the framework of the project, round tables and master classes will be held at the exhibition venues of these cities.

The curators of the project were selected from among the members of the TSHR who have great successful experience in curating projects of various sizes in state museums and private galleries:

The Creative Union of Artists of Russia (TSHR) is an all-Russian public organization uniting about fifteen thousand professional artists throughout Russia. The history of TSHR dates back to the beginning of the last century.
