In the summer of 2020, on the initiative of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, a large-scale humanitarian project in the field of education for children and adolescents “International Smart Holidays” was organized. Its task was to strengthen communication between children and adolescents from different countries by means of the Russian language and joint creativity.
An important part of the project was the online film school "KultPROlight", created by experienced filmmakers in cooperation with film expert, assistant to the Rector of VGIK Andrei Apostolov. The executive producer of the project was the director and producer Dmitry Bikbaev, and the mentors and masters of the film school were the cinema stars - People’s Artist of Russia Elena Yakovleva, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anna Ardova.
The training resulted in several creative products at once, including the first international film "Coin", filmed by children simultaneously in several countries of the world. The total number of views of the film "Moneta" on the Internet is rapidly approaching a million. Also, the project participants independently organized an international photo-flash mob in honor of the 75th anniversary of the nuclear industry. But the main premiere is ahead - in January 2021, the final part of the project will be shown - a documentary film created by the forces of children and an experienced team of filmmakers. The professional team was headed by the artistic director of the project Elena Yakovleva and the director Vladimir Pankov. Thanks to this film work, the participants consolidated all stages of professional film production step by step.
The KultPROlight Film School within the framework of the International Smart Holidays project was implemented by the team of the Art Platform of the Moscow Production Center. Thanks to her, the participants from 12 to 16 years old studied the basics of filmmaking, learned to create exciting scripts, learned how to edit and dub a big movie, and most importantly, communication with masters and peers from other countries was established. The project has become a great contribution to the development of intercultural relations, bringing together children and adolescents from different parts of the world through the learning process and the creation of creative products. The premiere of the film, which will become the final chord of the project, will take place in January. For us, this is a bright memorable event that sums up the results of a large-scale project, ”says Dmitry Bikbaev.
