At the award ceremony, the teachers and administration of the Johanson Lyceum and the Repin Institute thanked the patron for organizing the competition, for supporting the creative development of students and the school of academic art in general. “The theme“ Happiness ”of the XII contest draws attention to the basic aspects of life. She is not ephemeral. Happiness is in daily trifles, here and now, ”comments Andrey Sklyarenko, graphic artist, vice-rector for academic affairs. The director of the lyceum, artist Tatyana Mishchenko, shared her opinion on the topic: “The theme for young artists is not simple. It is associated with elusive and therefore difficult to convey feelings. In the stories of the guys, we saw scenes of quiet family happiness, the end of the period of suffering. " Tatyana Mishchenko also thanked the Repin Institute and the Repin Institute for giving young artists the opportunity to exhibit at the Academy, to receive an appreciation from the masters of such a high level.
By the decision of the jury of the 1st prize in the nomination “Painting” the work “Porridge” by Elena Kondratova was awarded (5th course of the faculty of painting). In the nomination “Sculpture”, the composition “Holiday of new bread” by Ksenia Kryazhova (5 year) was recognized as the winner. In the nomination “Graphics”, the 1st prize according to the results of the jury was handed to the author of the triptych “Happiness in the struggle” Vasily Krushelnitsky (4th year student of the graphic arts faculty). In the nomination “Architecture” I was awarded the Prize for the restoration of the courtyards of the Petersburg Academy of Arts for 4th year students of Luzganova Maria, Kurkheutov Alexander, Desert Sofia. The art object “Memory box” of the 4th year student of the graphic arts faculty George Khazankin, by decision of the jury, received an additional first prize.
The jury of XII was headed by the rector of the Repin Institute Semyon Mikhailovsky. In total this year, 5 students of the Johanson Lyceum and 21 students of the Repin Institute received prizes and cash awards from the philanthropist. The organization of a competitive exhibition and competitions of artists is carried out from the personal funds of the philanthropist Igor Minakov.
The purpose of the competition is to assist in the development of state educational institutions of art and to support the leading school of academic art in St. Petersburg and the Russian Federation. Over the years, the project has become a prestigious competition among aspiring artists of the Academic Art Schools of St. Petersburg and a targeted youth assistance program. More than 270 children-students and lyceum students became laureates of prizes of the philanthropist Igor Minakov.
