Zifa Vasilievna Mukhametzyanova is one of the leading graphic artists, illustrator and designer of books and magazines, the author of stage costumes (awarded the diploma of the All-Russian Review of Song and Dance Ensembles in Moscow in 1986) and models of children’s clothing. Her work is filled with bright colors and inspired images, which reflected her multifaceted talent and rich inner world. As a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation (1994), Honored Art Worker (2001) and Honored Worker of Culture (1994) of the Republic of Tatarstan, Zifa Mukhametzyanova has gone through a thorny path to the heights of professional art.

The design and illustration of children’s publications has become one of the most important and favorite components of her work. Many of Zifa Vasilievna’s works are devoted to folk tales, legends, myths, and traditions. Among her talented works are illustrations for books: B. Rәkhmәt “Kurchak Batyr” (1984), H. Khalikov “Maturma Sin?” (1987), M. Khasanov “Ut Malay” (1989), H. Tufan “Good Girl” (1991), S. Galeev “Who is Nursa Yarata?” (1992), R. Valeev “Kaitavaz Kaida Yashi” (1994), illustrations for twelve Tatar fairy tales, entitled “Without Unique Kyz Idek” (“There were twelve girls”) )2008).
The peak of her work in the field of magazine graphics was the activity in the children’s magazine "Yalkyn", where for a quarter of a century, starting in 1987, she shaped his artistic appearance.
The works of Zifa Mukhametzyanova were demonstrated at the exhibitions “Book Graphics of Tataria” (Kazan, 1981), “Big Volga” (Cheboksary, 1985), “Soviet Russia” (Moscow, 1985), “Anniversary Exhibition on the 70th anniversary of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan” (Kazan, 2006) and others.
Zifa Vasilievna’s works are kept in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, in private foreign and Russian collections.
Zifa Mukhametzyanova untimely passed away in the winter of 2016. She left people her life-affirming art. The exhibition dedicated to her memory will last until July 26, 2016.
