March 16 at 16.00 in the Gallery of Siberian Art (ul. Karl Marx, 23) opens a personal exhibition of the Irkutsk artist Vyacheslav Glinsky, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the author. A modern, actively experimenting artist today is on a creative take-off. This year, his solo exhibition was held with great success in Krasnoyarsk, in the regional branch of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Vyacheslav Glinsky was born in 1968 in the town of Usolye-Sibirsky, graduated from the Irkutsk Art College (art and pedagogical department) and the Irkutsk State Technical University (department of art history). Since 2009, he has been the director of the Children’s Art School No. 1 in Irkutsk, and since 2016, he has been the deputy chairman of the Irkutsk regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, and also works as a stage designer and painter.
Despite the fact that the artist managed to develop his own recognizable style that distinguishes him from colleagues in the art workshop, he is still in an active creative search. Art historians note the emphasized decorativeness of his paintings, expressiveness, grotesque, philosophical and psychological content and symbolist sound. Almost every of his work contains a certain secret, hidden meaning, which will be interesting to guess to the viewer. The artist’s paintings cause a surge of emotions that capture a person, make you look inside yourself and reflect on the meaning of your existence.
The exhibition presents about 50 paintings from different cycles created from 2012 to 2017.
The exhibition opens March 16 at 16.00 in the Gallery of Siberian Art of the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum. V.P. Sukachev (st. Karl Marx, 23) and will work until April 8, 2018. Entrance to the opening is free. Phone for inquiries: 33-43-89.
