February 17, 2015 at 16 hours at the Russian Academy of Arts at the address: st. Prechistenka, d. 21, an exhibition of works by Tatyana Faydysh, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, opens.
The exhibition will be held from February 17 to March 8, 2015.
The exposition includes over 70 paintings, created primarily in the 2000s.
T.A. Faidysh was born in 1955 in Moscow. In 1980 she graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov, workshop of easel painting prof. T.T.Salakhova. Since 1976 - participant of many Moscow, All-Union, All-Russian and foreign exhibitions. In 1983 she joined the Moscow Union of Artists. His works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, museums of Saratov, Kemerovo, Moscow, the Zimmerli Museum (New Jersey, USA), in private collections in Russia, USA, Italy, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Germany, India, France.
T. Faidysh freely experiments with form, color, space, while always maintaining loyalty to the easel picture. Her bright associative painting is amazing with complex compositional and color solutions. “The visual image that I saw in nature is important,” says the artist. In her abstract compositions, she builds on real life impressions. Often referring to mythological plots, she nevertheless conveys her, inherent only to her, a living sense of history and modernity.
The source of inspiration for her was the artists of the Russian and foreign avant-garde of the early to mid-20th century. But direct quotes cannot be found in her canvases - her works have their own face and their own special emotional character.
In the 1900s, Faidysh strives to go beyond the traditional picture plane. The first objects appear: free-form plywood planes covered with convex layers of colorful dough, works made of foam rubber. Collage does not take her away from the picturesque implementation, and the object of property is successfully integrated into the element of painting. The color of these works immediately attracts attention: she works with large color planes, which requires a great compositional culture and plastic flair from the artist. The artist’s courage is manifested both in working with lines and in the geometrization of forms. Faidysh likes to compare semi-abstract figures and natural elements - emphasized frivolous everyday details.
There is no literary plot in the works of T. Faidysh. This is a geometrically symbolic, planar, decorative surreal world that does not appeal to the mind, but to hidden feelings, to the subconscious, evoking the most diverse associations in the imagination.
The compositional constructions of T. Faydysh are always unexpected. The “characters” of her paintings enter into complex interactions, can violate boundaries, breaking out of their borders. And sometimes the artist, as if revealing a plane, cuts the canvas, leaving the third dimension.
There is a special monumental structure and its own musical intonation in the paintings of Tatyana Faydysh.
“I strive to unite ambiguous concepts:“ the complex is in the simple, the simple is in the complex. ” I do not deal with the pure plot, but I am looking for reasons for the clash of form, space and color. I try to ensure that the contrasts of compositional construction are never softened, but are in dynamic unity and interaction ”- Tatyana Faydysh.
