For the fourth time, a personal exhibition of the famous watercolor artist Elena Bazanova, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Society of Watercolorists of St. Petersburg, will be held at the Mokhovaya-18 Gallery of Contemporary Art. For the first time, the viewer will see many of the watercolors presented at the exhibition and will again enjoy the uniqueness of the author’s manner, demonstrating the unlimited possibilities of watercolor technique and the perfection of craftsmanship.

“In my watercolor still lifes,” says Elena Bazanova, “I depict seemingly ordinary and familiar to all objects, and this is especially difficult. Every time I try to see a new image in them and create a new space in which they are located. My task is to create a living space of a still life through the sophisticated lines of drawing, complex compositional constructions and watercolor techniques, in which the viewer will see and feel harmony and rediscover the beauty of the world. ”

The author’s works have long been widely recognized and appreciated by connoisseurs and art lovers in Russia and abroad. Elena Bazanova is an active participant in the world watercolor biennale in different countries, holder of prestigious prizes and diplomas, and in October she became one of the 25 finalists of the first world watercolor contest and a participant in the “The World Watercolor Exhibition” in Narbonne (France).

The authoritative European magazine “The art of watercolor”, which conducted this competition of watercolorists, devoted a leading article to the work of Elena Bazanova.
