From April 12 to 21, 2017, in Moscow, in the hall of the Volga branch of the Russian Academy of Arts “Lavrushinsky 15”, a personal exhibition of the member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia Anatoly Bugakov “The whole world is a theater” is held.
Anatoly Matveevich graduated from the art school in Alma-Ata in 1961, after which he worked in the publishing houses of the city, designed books. He entered the MPI (Polygraph) in 1968 and graduated in 1974. He is engaged in painting and graphics, works in the field of monumental art. Held more than 15 solo exhibitions in the cities of the country.
The whole world is permanently in the game. It is unlikely that there is at least one person who would not be subject to this weakness. I’m not talking about those fantasies in which he plays a magnanimous hero, boss, lover, villain and arbiter of fate.
Life is changeable in general, and it has everything, good and evil, falsehood and truth, etc.
And man, as part of nature and, consequently, life, as a mirror reflects the changes of being. The circumstances of existence often push an individual to unconscious behavior, that is, to be different from what he is in everyday everyday existence.
And a person, whoever he is, subconsciously reacts to an unusual situation in some unusual way. He has to play (or temporarily become), turn around his own, not always visible, side of character. The more complex (unusual) the nature of the subject, the more often it is embodied in some kind of image. Especially, it seems to me, this is typical of failed people. One way or another, one is more often, and the other is less likely (inclined) to become one or the other. Sometimes out of mischief or from surging feelings, or out of necessity (flattery, firmness, as it were, uncertainty, etc.) make him an actor. I’m not talking about professionals (actor, manager, salesman, teacher, etc.)
Even great and accomplished people, from the president and deputy to the small bribe-taker, have to play roles. And it all starts from an early age to deceive, subjugate, soften or seduce parents. And for some, acting becomes second nature, while for others it happens from time to time.
Without claiming to be the ultimate truth, I must say that everyone can draw conclusions to a greater or lesser degree of complexity, accuracy, error, etc. These observations, conclusions, were the impetus for entering this problem through images on paper and canvas.
Knowing well the life of both people, both in their ordinary existence and in the theater, the great playwright V. Shakespeare derived this formula irrefutable and hitherto.
