The project “If there is, then who” is the result of the author’s thoughts about the possibilities of a person to perceive an increasing flow of information and relate it to oneself.
Knowledge of the world is the foundation of a person’s safe existence. However, the information flow is growing, and with it the anxiety generated by the need to understand. One pulls the other, and it is no longer possible to have time to ask questions, to understand the answers received.
Modern physicists are increasingly inclined to believe that time is not a separate dimension, but only a “numerological order of physical changes.” The perception of time by a person is exclusively subjective and depends on his emotional and physical condition. By joining a scrolling gadget to relieve anxiety through learning about the dangers of the world around us, we simply lose our sense of time by skipping significant sections of our life.
The artist reflects on whether we are able to maintain our identity in the conditions proposed by civilization. Her characters exist in time, but lose the feeling of space. Being immersed in the information flow, they lose touch with actual reality.
