From February 6 to 24, 2013 at the State Exhibition Hall "On Kashirka" there will be a personal exhibition of media-art by artist Alexander Batalov "From the dossier of a dog’s life."

The Kashirka Exhibition Hall opens up a new space organized for artists working in the field of contemporary visual arts, in particular media art and performative practices.

The video project “From the dossier of the dog’s life” by Alexander Batalov and Natasha Timofeeva is based on the experience of the performance intervention in the city of Kassel in 2012.

A half-hour walk through one of the central squares of the city is a remake of the famous street performance of Vali Export * 1968, the implementation of which was influenced by a personal vision of the problem.

Having made a small addition to the original statement (adding glasses and a cane), the authors have achieved a significant rethinking of the issue of woman’s self-identification and her role in modern society. The remake was implemented as an intervention on the territory of the exhibition of contemporary art - dOCUMENTA (13), which gave particular stress to the perception of artistic expression.
