Reboot. 2.0 in Zaraysk Automatic translate
On Saturday, November 23, the grand opening of the city festival of contemporary art "Reboot. 2.0" took place. As reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region, the two main festival sites have already been operating since November 18. Over the first 6 days of the festival, exhibitions and events were visited by more than 2 thousand guests.
Among the locations that have been open since November 18 is the art space "CEKH" on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, where a platform for interactive installations, exhibition projects and cultural and educational programs has been deployed. According to the organizers, "CEKH" should become a symbol of the reboot of Zaraysk - after the renovation, the building of the former shopping center should be transformed into a modern art space.
Also within the framework of the festival, in the house of the writer, revolutionary populist, poet and journalist, Grigory Machtet, the ASKERI GALLERY exhibition is being held, where works by more than 20 artists are presented, including one of the most famous contemporary authors today, Yuri Kuper.
"I really liked Zaraysk. I am glad to participate in this important event and be here with you at the opening of the festival. I want to say a few nice words about the city. While I was driving through the streets of Zaraysk, I wanted to come back because there are so many authentic buildings here. I love old surfaces that look like frescoes. It is like a museum or an antique shop here - you want to look at every detail, every house. It is important to preserve this beauty for future generations," artist Yuri Kuper.
In total, more than 50 artists are taking part in the festival, who have brought over 250 of their works to Zaraysk. Among the authors are both leading masters who have received international recognition, and young, promising artists.
Theater and film stars, bloggers, and journalists came to the official opening of the festival "Reboot. 2. 0." Among them were Maria Golubkina, Alena Chekhova, Anna Yeshchenko, Anastasia Makeeva, Daria Mikhalkova, singer Sasha, and others.
On the day of the official opening, two master classes by artists Alexey Golovin and Masha Rudenko were held in the art space "CEKH". Alexey demonstrated the full cycle of creating works to the participants, told about himself and his creative path, answered questions from the audience, and also gave them the opportunity to take part in creative practice. Masha Rudenko told the participants of her master class about the essence of the collage technique, then each of those present was able to create an abstract painting based on a selected landscape photograph.
"Artists from small towns often leave for big ones, but return to share their experience. The festival, which is organized by a large team, is a significant contribution to the culture of Zaraysk and our entire country. We can be proud of being part of the rich cultural heritage of Russia. Now is the time to open doors to new talents and provide them with the opportunity to gain experience. This will allow them to develop, share their knowledge and create new works of art, enriching our culture," artist Masha Rudenko.
The art space "CEKH" also opened an exhibition of works by local artists, the "Moscovites" association, ASKERI GALLERY and ART ONLINE24, musical and dance performances, and a unique performance on the theme of the city by Max Goshko-Dankov. The ensemble "Gudba" and Honored Artist of Russia Boris Andrianov performed for the guests.
In the House of Machteta, accompanied by the singing of performer Victoria Chigretskaya, a master class in sculpture from the Anna Golubkina Art School was held, and in the New Year’s living room, visitors were greeted by artist Andrei Feigin, who treated them to Zaraysk porridge and told them urban legends.
On the territory of the Zaraysk Kremlin and in the Cathedral of the Beheading of John the Baptist, the guests were met by the rector of the church, Father Peter, and a choir of parishioners. After the service, those who wished, together with the bell ringer, climbed the bell tower and rang the bells. The director of the Zaraysk Kremlin Museum-Reserve, Kirill Kondratyev, conducted a tour of the Kremlin museum and showed the famous Zaraysk bison from the Paleolithic era, carved from mammoth bone.
Generative Gallery presented a series of works by digital artist Dimitri Anisimov, dedicated to the phenomenon of observation. "This is an attempt at a conceptual description of the world we live in, it is systematization, rationalization, the desire for objectivity and accumulation of information and its interpretation. But behind any interpretation there is inevitably observation - an act cleared of opinion and dogma. It is this phenomenon that the works are dedicated to," says Dimitri Anisimov.
The guests took part in a promenade performance from the MIR center.
The highlight of the day was a lecture by Polina Askeri, curator of the exhibition projects of the festival "Reboot. 2. 0", "How to love contemporary art".
"For the second year in a row, I have visited the festival of contemporary art in Zaraysk, and each time my child leaves impressed. The festival allows you to get acquainted with contemporary art through interesting lectures and educational master classes. Many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to get to know art better," - Yulia Donskikh, a guest of the festival.
The festival will last until January 12.
