COMPOSITION IN PAINTING

Composition is one of the main categories of artistic creation. It is believed that there are no once and for all established rules in the ways of organizing an image on a plane. However, you can highlight a number of patterns in the construction of the composition, which "work" in a certain way in a variety of styles, trends and directions. Regardless of the spatial organization of composition, these patterns are the same; each of them can “appear” as one of the main expressive means in the work.

A series of lectures is devoted to the analysis of these patterns on the example of paintings from different eras, various styles and directions.
