New project of the Center for Contemporary Art Winery "Open Studios" Automatic translate
Winery Center for Contemporary Art launches the Open Studios project. For the first time in Moscow, on the basis of one of the leading Russian art institutions, a modern workshop will appear. Center for Contemporary Arts Winzavod provides young artists with a comfortable workspace so that they can create just a few steps from the best Moscow galleries of contemporary art, and the opportunity to immerse themselves in a professional art environment.
"Open Studios" develop the direction of support for young artists and complement the idea of projects at the Center for Contemporary Art Winzavod START (since 2008) and portfolio-reviews in Russian art and creative universities (2017). For beginner talented artists selected by the expert council, participation in the project is an opportunity to take their first steps in the creative and commercial sphere under the guidance of experienced professionals. For the viewer - the opportunity to observe the process of creating works of art, which in the future, perhaps, will decorate the best museums in the country. For collectors - get to know future stars at the stage of their formation.
Sophia Trotsenko, President of the Winery Factory Support Fund for Contemporary Art: “From the first days, the workshops of both famous and emerging Russian artists: Oleg Kulik, Misha Most, Valery Chtak, Kirill Who, Evgeny Antufiev and many others have been located at the Winery. The Open Studios project opens up the future of Russian art and gives young artists a chance to become part of this tradition, helping to integrate into the professional community. We create a well-thought-out cultural and educational system, which builds on the many years of experience of the Winery and the expert support of leading gallery owners and art figures. Our team believes that participation in the project will lead to the formation of a new generation of successful Russian artists. ”
"Open Studios" occupy the premises of the legendary Aidan Gallery. Artists work in a common space, the concept of which was developed by the architects of Project Eleven.
