Ekaterina Sadur, a prose writer and playwright, was born in the city of Novosibirsk in the family of another great writer, Nina Sadur. The play "Islands of the Blessed" was written in Berlin in 2014. The Russian singer Olga, a former Meyerhold actress, escapes to Berlin after the revolution and opens an artistic bar with the Nietzschean title “Island of Joy”. Visitors to the bar, her friends, are Russian and German bohemians, musicians and actors. The year 1933 is coming, Hitler and the Nazis come to power, the Reichstag burns… Then the action of the play takes the viewer today, where in the same Nietzschean bar "Island of Joy" a jazz singer Olga with Russian roots gathers contemporary German bohemia around herself and decides to repeat concerts his brilliant grandmother. The play plunges into the atmosphere of memories and overflows of memory, through which the picture of the future emerges brighter and brighter.
The reading of the play takes place against the background of the exhibition of the famous symbolist artist, front-line soldier Oscar Kacharov in Gallery A3.
