The project was based on visual and literary materials of the legendary book of Alexander Solzhenitsyn “The Red Wheel”. The "red wheel" of history turns into the dramaturgy of the whole project, it moves through the images of the Russian avant-garde, relying on the compositions of "Mystical Images of War" by N. Goncharova and collage works by A. Kruchenykh and O. Rozanova.

A special place in the exhibition is occupied by the avant-garde lubok of 1914, created by such masters as K. Malevich, V. Mayakovsky, A. Lentulov and M. Larionov (from the private collection of Victor Penzin and the collection of the State Museum of V.V. Mayakovsky).

The exposition ends with the work of contemporary artists: Leonid Tishkov, Haim Sokol, Sergey Katran, Bagrat Arazyan, Vladimir Smolyar, Alla Urban, Kira Matissen, Armen Igithanyan, Mikhail Volokhov and Nikita Spiridonov.

The exhibition and theater project is dedicated to the production art of the Russian Avant-garde, the revolutionary poetry of Vladimir Mayakovsky and the unique photo-editing cycle of Yuri Rozhkov from the collection of the State Literary Museum.

The gallery presents exhibition macrocopies of photomontages of 1924, art objects “AVANGARDA TARCHA” by contemporary artists (M. Zvyagintseva, S. Litvak, K. Matissen, M. Roshnyak, M. Pogarsky, S. Chernov, L. Feodor, E. Schatz), as well as the media films Mayakovsky Forever, 2013 (L. Alekseeva and E. Zhukova, GLM) and Kursk Worker…, 2014 (Denis Veremyev, Kursk State Art Gallery named after Alexander Deineka).

The exhibition features paintings, graphics, text installations. The participants are modern futurist poets; Alla Urban, Valery Korchagin, Lisa Savolainen, Alexander Pankin, Kira Matissen, Dmitry Pankin, Evelina Schatz, Mikhail Pogarsky, Ekaterina Melnikova and others. Curator Mikhail Roshnyak.

Gallery “On Kashirka” was opened in February 1986 and gained fame thanks to exhibitions of contemporary art, which took place here in the 1980s and 1990s.

Currently, the gallery works with artists of various creative directions. The range of exposition activities is very wide: from traditional genres to contemporary art exhibitions (specially developed art projects with video and media installations, thematic performances).

The gallery is actively educating. It constantly hosts interactive art events, lectures and master classes.
