Nikas Safronov is one of the most sought-after contemporary Russian artists. Honored Artist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honorary Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenev.
The main goal of the “Favorites” exhibition project is to acquaint Kazan and guests of the capital of Tatarstan with various periods of Nikas Safronov’s work. Genre paintings, lyrical landscapes, still lifes and portraits presented at the exhibition most fully reflect the artist’s worldview and artistic interpretation of reality.
The artist’s work is based on the best traditions of realistic art. After long professional and cultural studies, Nikas summarizes his ideas and creates his own unique direction “Dream Vision”, which is technically based on classical painting and actively uses not only imagination and intuition, but subconsciousness and unconscious sensations.
Nikas was widely known for his series of psychological portraits of contemporaries, Russian and foreign stars of politics and culture: Sophia Loren, Montserrat Caballe, Alain Delon and others.
The exhibition at Khazine, which will present more than a hundred works, will run from September 21 to November 5, 2017. Nikas Safronov plans to hold creative meetings with fans of fine art and master classes. The first creative meeting will take place on September 21 at 17.00 (cost - 500 rubles)
