March 2, 2017 at 18.00 in the main building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Karl Marx St., 64) a pleasant evening awaits visitors: an interactive tour "The Artist in Love" and a performance by Andrei Zefirov, author and performer.
The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan - one of the largest regional art museums in Russia - was established in 1958 on the basis of the art gallery of the State Museum of TASSR. The collection is based on the private collection of Andrei Fedorovich Likhachev.
Currently, in the funds of the Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan there are more than twenty-six thousand works of painting, graphic art, sculpture, decorative and applied art. The main building of the museum is worth a visit to see the masterpieces of ancient Russian icon painting of the XVI century, works of Russian painting of the XVIII - XIX centuries. : portraits by F. Rokotov, D. Levitsky, works by K. Bryullov, V. Tropinin, I. Repin, V. Serov, M. Vrubel, I. Levitan, a large monographic collection of works by the outstanding Russian landscape painter I. Shishkin. In honor of the holiday of love, spring and renewal, the museum presents an updated exposition of Western European art of the XIV - XVIII centuries.
Love is the destiny of both mortals and gods. Ancient myths and biblical legends about the love and work of famous and unknown Italian masters of the 16th-17th centuries, funny genre compositions by the great German artist Lucas Cranach the Elder, cozy everyday scenes in the works of small Dutch, gallant scenes in the style of Antoine Watteau tell about human relationships in different eras. Visitors learn about this and much more on the interactive tour “Artist in Love”.
Andrei Zefirov is a software engineer with a degree in mathematics. He is the author and performer of songs on his own and other people’s poems, a participant in XXIX, XXX, XXXII Grushinsky festivals, Aisha festivals, the All-Russian festival of author’s song in Cheboksary, laureate of the Yalchik festival. For his friends and acquaintances, he recorded two CDs “From Portrait to Landscape” and “May Snowfall” in the Siberian Tract studio. This is not the first time Andrey has performed at the museum. This time he will sing about love. Worthily continuing the traditions of the Russian bardic song, Andrei does not try and does not imitate more eminent colleagues. His manner of performance is distinguished by sincerity and simplicity, he wants to sing along. And museum visitors will have such an opportunity.
Visitors to the “Musical Thursday in the White Hall” will undoubtedly have a pleasant evening!
