The Museum of Christian Culture continues to develop the concept of "Rediscover art". The new halls on the third floor, which have added to the permanent exhibition, are a visual reflection of the time layer from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Studying the features of icon painting and techniques typical for different geographic regions helps to better understand the essence of historical events and processes taking place in society. The halls “Holy Russia. Saints and Shrines of Russia ”,“ Heaven in the Culture of the Russian North ”,“ Primordial Rus ”, as well as religious painting of Northern Europe and the work of Flemish masters.

The opening of the Museum of Christian Culture took place in 2021 and is timed to coincide with the 318th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg.
