On July 11, 2017, in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts at 21 Prechistenka Street, an exhibition of the works “My Way” by Anna Vadimovna Ryndina, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Arts, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, opens. The exhibition of paintings is dedicated to the anniversary of the author.
The exhibition features about 70 works. Among them are graphic sketches of costumes and sets for performances of the 1960s - 80s and paintings in gouache technique, tempera and oil, created over the past five years. The work of Anna Vadimovna covers the whole variety of genres - these are portraits, landscapes, still lifes, reflections on a biblical theme.
The artist creates her own imaginative world, conducting dialogue with the audience in the language of color, rhythm and form. Her canvases are the work of a philosopher and lyricist, a dreamer, they are filled with music, poetry, a life-affirming beginning and a special energy. The artist’s palette is distinguished by a bright and rich color, and the manner of execution - by a confident brushstroke and internal dynamics combined with melodious silhouettes.
About his path in the work of A. V. Ryndin, he says this: “I drew all my childhood and youth, sitting next to my father. I did not receive an art education, but for a rather long time I studied painting with a wonderful teacher V.V. Pochitalov, together with his daughter Lyusya. My father supported my studies in every possible way and, seeing my abilities for theatrical costume, attracted me to work on his performances (costumes of ladies and gentlemen in a scene on the square in Don Carlos (opera by J. Verdi in the sets of V.F. Ryndin. Bolshoi. 1964), costumes for the performance of the Maly Theater “Madame Bovary” (the play was staged by I. Ilnsky and the sets by V. F. Ryndin. The State Academic Maly Theater. 1963), to individual ballet performances at the Bolshoi Theater, for example, to the waltz on the anniversary days of M. Yu. Lermontov, etc. In 1967, together with Mariso Liepaja at the Bolshoi Theater I designed the ballet “Vision of the Rose” (Weber’s ballet. The production of M. Fokin, restored by Maris Liepa. Bolshoi Bolshoi Theater. 1966), for which I was scolded a lot because it was not like the Diaghilev performance. a lot for myself. In the early 1970s she made The Hoffmannyad, sets and costumes for Offenbach’s Hoffmann’s Tales. After her father died in 1974, she stopped writing for more than thirty years. And suddenly, since 2006, the need arose to work, but not for the theater. Sometimes, however, I return to the eternal theme of Hoffmann for me. Since 1972 - member of the theater section of the Moscow Union of Artists. I work in gouache, although in my youth I also wrote in oil. I hope to continue not to give up painting, because the process of creativity, whatever the final result, gives me great joy. ”

Schukin Theater Institute at the State Academic Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov. 1961; Costume sketches for the ballet The Bakhchisarai Fountain and The Nutcracker. Choreographer - L.
