July 3 at the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St., 103, Red Hall) will open the final exhibition in the framework of the festival "Young Photographers of Russia -2019".

It will be attended by festival participants - young authors from different cities of Russia, eminent members of the jury, speakers and masters of the festival, top officials of the Government of the Kaluga Region and the Union of Russian Photo Artists. The ceremony will be opened by Yuri Mikhailovich Baturin, Chairman of the Union of Russian Photographers, astronaut, Hero of Russia, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Young authors from 46 regions of Russia took part in the competition. Among them are Kaluga residents: Svetlana Tarasova, Maria Sokolova and Anton Shulgin. The geography and scope of the project are impressive: Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Voronezh, Chita, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kemerovo, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Moscow, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Kemerovo, Sakhalin regions, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Perm, Primorsky Territory, the Republic of Sakha and Adygea. Republic of Crimea, Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Chuvashia and others.
In addition to the exhibition of the finalists of the Competition, one can see the project of a young author from Moscow, the winner of last year’s portfolio review Mikhail Grebenshchikov Nichts.
The All-Russian Festival “YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHS OF RUSSIA” this year is hosted by the Kaluga Region for the first time. On July 3, the festival starts in the capital of the region - the city of Kaluga, on July 4, its participants will be able to see other cities in the region: Maloyaroslavets, Obninsk and Borovsk. In Obninsk and Borovsk, special programs have been prepared for them.
It is significant that on July 5 the Kaluga Region will celebrate its 75th anniversary, and all the regions of the region will deploy their farmsteads in the Kaluga City Culture and Leisure Park, which for sure will not be left unattended by the participants of the photo festival.
The project “All-Russian Competition and Festival“ YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHS OF RUSSIA ”was established by the Union of Russian Photographers in 2001 as an annual one. He helps, supports, develops young Russian photographers, creating an effective launching pad and the opportunity to express himself to hundreds of authors aged 18 to 35 from different regions and cities of our vast country. This is an important and significant project of the Union, 18 years of history, development and discoveries of young photography in Russia. The venue for the festival in different years was provided by: Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Cheboksary, Plyos (Ivanovo region), Pushchino (Moscow region), gathering a forum of more than 200 young photographers - photojournalists and photo artists from different Russian regions and cities.
The exhibition runs until June 16th.
