DollArt.ru experimental creative workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Creative Union of Russian Artists present an exhibition of MicroMacros dolls in the Saratov State Art Museum named after A. N. Radishchev (ul. May Day, 75).
The curators of the exhibition are the leaders of the DollArt.ru experimental creative workshop PAX and TSHR:
Alexandra KhUDYAKOVA, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Svetlana RUMYANTSEVA, chairman of the section of the art doll TSHR.
The exposition includes the works of more than 40 Russian puppet artists, who, according to the authors, are MicroMacros, a magical world in which parallelities intersect, combine incongruous, combine in a fantastic form funny and terrible, ugly and sublime, real with unreal, real with the future. Giants and midgets live very close by and do not always know about each other’s existence. MicroMacros is a game of scale or the scale of a game, an attempt to survive the illusion of realizing the dream of the existence of a micro and macro world, the ability to get there, overcoming the boundaries of earthly existence. Such a "romantic many-sidedness" is possible only in a dream, game or art.
The DollArt.RU project (Puppet Art in Russia) was created by professional puppet artists in 2002 and brings together leading experts in the field of puppet art from various creative and exhibition associations. The project participants direct their main efforts to the development of the professional line of puppet art and its recognition as such in the professional artistic environment.
