Colorfully bright canvases of Irina Ryabinova reflect the urban, chamber and multifaceted culture of European cities. The artist’s worldview was formed in the turbulent 90s, among the post-Soviet underground. The Leningrad Rock Club, Pushkinskaya 10, all this was an integral part of the youth movement of that time, which allowed you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of creativity. The artist’s paintings are abstract compositions. The legacy of European impressionists and Russian avant-garde artists had a direct impact on the formation of the artist’s creative style. The master feels equally free in different formats, from miniature to monumental. The richness of colorful combinations, the richness and painting of the stroke, the freedom of composition are the characteristic features of the creative method. The creative success of these paintings, in harmony with a rational technique of performance and unimpeded imagination.

Large-format red-black, emphasized graphic sheets by Semyon Gulyako, combine hieroglyphs of oriental writing, boundless natural landscapes and color schemes of temple architecture of the East. Semyon Gulyako is a classic and almost relict type of artist today - a loner, recluse, preoccupied exclusively with self-expression and able to stay in the studio for months. He is psychologically outside the art establishment: hierarchies, worries about tactics and strategies for self-representation, the problems of developing a professional career. In the abstraction of S. Gulyako, the projection of individual psychological experience is palpable. The influxes of dark, black, dark blue and brown arabesques are perceived as some shadows, traces of psychological reactions, traces of moods and experiences. And the photographs of Valentin Samarin on Sanki silver-gelatin emulsion, unique in technique and execution, make a unifying beginning, as made by overlaying the works of the above authors. Sanki is a special technique of “new old” photography. Sanki, according to the author’s definition, “is a mystery of old silver photography, a metamorphosis of energy projections invisible in normal photography, a metaphysics of invisible projections of Light and Shadow of the spiritual world of a person, his passions.” The word "sanki" is borrowed from the book on ancient Chinese philosophy "Sensory Energy". This concept reveals the phenomenon of invisible energy potentials of Time and Space that determine our earthly existence. And the artist’s special technique allows us to show in photographs what is hidden from us in ordinary photographs.
