On the occasion of its 125th anniversary, the Museum of Moscow is launching a course on Moscow studies for children from 8 to 13 years old. Participants will approach the study of the history of the city as an exciting adventure, as well as create their own interactive map of Moscow. Classes will be held in two groups - for children from 8 to 10 years old and for children from 11 to 13 years old.
The main tools for exploring Moscow will be characters who will be created by children in the course of classes and who will take part in the most important historical events. Through work on characters, children will get acquainted with the peculiarities of people’s lives in different eras, see everyday life and a variety of architecture. At the same time, teachers and participants will work with the funds of the Museum of Moscow - documents and finds from archaeological excavations, as well as communicate with invited external specialists.
