The artist always lives in two worlds - as if in different rooms at the same time. In one - TV, vanity, telephone, iron and chores. In the other - canvases, a million tubes, brushes and a cat Matisse - witness and co-author.
Alpert Gallery represents the artist Masha Maykova and the exhibition, the idea of which was invented by the author himself. The gallery space will turn into an exhibition hall - a workshop. Here you can sit down at the table with a staged still life, feel yourself in the role of the character of the future picture, dissolve in a creative setting and suddenly remember: “Have I turned off the iron?”
Masha Maykova: “Do not forget, be in time, do not be late - the key words of our time, unfortunately. This is probably why the plots of my paintings are people relaxing on the seashore, or talking about something leisurely in interior decorations. For all the hustle and bustle of our lives, we recall the “shots” from our travels and pleasant meetings, everyone has their own album. I collect memories with the help of painting, color, line, shape, and the main thing for me is to convey the feeling of that mood that I remember. ”
The exhibition features more than 50 paintings and graphic works created by the author over the past few years.
The exhibition runs until November 2, 2017.
Opening - October 20, 2017, 19-00.
