Marina Zvyagintseva, "Networks of the sleeping area" Automatic translate
In her work, Marina Zvyagintseva combines two brands that are already copyrighted - the use of the unique monotype technique and the exploitation of the theme of the city outskirts, the so-called “sleeping area”. She not only introduced expressive monotype into the “vocabulary” of contemporary art, but she also knows all the “charms” of the template construction of the “sleeping area” and living in it.

Personal project "Networking sleeping area"
Painting, installation, performance
December 21, 2012 - January 13, 2013
In the project "Networks of the sleeping area", the author formulates the main idea as follows: living on the outskirts of a person is a standing swamp of everyday life surrounded by concrete tin of monotonous gray high-rise buildings. Getting into this swamp, a man flounders in the networks of a sleeping area and looks for a way out in virtual communications, replacing one network with another. Social networks create the feeling of going out of the confined space of the sleeping area due to contact with the whole world. But this contact is illusory, the people on the other end of the wire are just ghosts, and the person is left alone with himself, entangled in real wires.
In his installations, the artist combines monotype with such unexpected materials as metal, concrete, sewer pipes, wires, rusty plumbing, creating works on the border of living colorful chaos and gray everyday life.
Monotype on a perforated metal is a chain of recognizable images that, upon closer examination, turn out to be turned inside out. People and nature are actually part of the information network. The light penetrating the picture dissolves the images, and they disappear like a mirage, and only wires, buttons, metal contacts remain.
