Cultural mosaic opens the contest "Best of the best" Automatic translate
On April 9, 2015, the "Best of the Best" competition starts among the winners of the 2014 All-Russian contest "Cultural Mosaic of Small Towns and Villages". This competition is a clear confirmation of the principle of systemic charity, which is characteristic of all programs of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charity Fund. He not only continues activities aimed at unlocking the potential of the Russian hinterland through cultural means, but also creates the conditions for the sustainable development of the most popular and successful projects.
Elena Konovalova, head of the Culture program of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation: “I am pleased to announce that the Cultural Mosaic continues to live and gain momentum. This year, “Cultural Mosaic” is becoming a big program, and it has a whole range of opportunities for people who want to actively change the world. We offer contests for those who have become our partners and friends, who have completed the year successfully, continue their activities and develop their projects at a new stage. We are launching a competition for which winners who have proved their effectiveness and who have received the support of their ideas in the local community can apply. ”
To a large extent, the adoption of this decision was facilitated by the results of the implementation of 123 projects - winners of the first All-Russian contest "Cultural Mosaic of Small Towns and Rural Villages". An analysis of the 2014 projects showed that almost all ideas were successfully implemented and well received in the regions. For all the variety of topics and problems to be solved, they are united by working with the cultural resources of the territories to develop local traditions, initiate new connections and unleash the creative potential of the place.
During a number of projects, additional resources were found. The total amount of co-financing amounted to 38 million rubles. For example, 6 projects from 4 regions of the Russian Federation raised 1, 5 million rubles each (CFD “Simple Mechanisms”, NWFD “Creation of N. Klyuyev Arboretum in Vytegra Vologda Region, NWFD“ Workshop of Alexander Shutikhin “Northern Birch Bark”, NWFD “On crossroads of cultures and epochs of the Guards district ”, North-Caucasian Federal District“ Black-glazed Ceramics ”and Far Eastern Federal District“ New Horizons of South Kamchatka ”)
A new competition among the winners of the “Cultural Mosaic of Small Towns and Villages” is aimed at promoting the sustainability of implemented projects that affect the development of the territory and local community. Any organization - the winner of the 2014 contest can take part in it if there is 50% co-financing and an understanding of the strategy for the further development of its project.
