Since its foundation, I. Yankovsky’s All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation, since its foundation, has been constantly developing talents and supporting the creativity of young Ukrainians, organizing various art competitions for children every year. As you know, children see the world a little differently than adults. And, probably, there is no better way than to express your idea of the world in the form of a drawing. The Yankovsky Initiative for the Future Foundation, organizing the All-Ukrainian Children’s Drawing Competition, a traditional art competition for children and youth, focuses on the search, as well as the disclosure of talents that need to be developed in the future.
Drawing competitions for all talented children
The very first contest of children’s drawings in Ukraine, held in 2013 by the I. Yankovsky Foundation, was called "My Homeland - Ukraine". For a fairly short period of time, more than seven hundred applications from children from all regions of Ukraine were received to participate in the contest of children’s drawings. The winners received special awards, the purpose of which was to help in the development of the young artist, as well as to promote the development of his talent, to inspire further creativity - such a prize was vacation packages at Artek - for creative shifts and professional sets of artists. At the end of the award ceremony, in the Creative Center under the name “Chocolate House”, an exhibition of creativity of young Ukrainians was opened. This year, in November, the exhibition "The World through the Eyes of the Children of Ukraine" of the pictures of the winners of the competition visited Brussels and was exhibited in the European Parliament.
After the successful holding of the First creative competition among children in Ukraine, the I. Yankovsky Foundation decided to make this competition annual. And in the spring of next year, the theme of the new Second Competition was announced - “My Peaceful Ukraine”.
In March of this year, the founder of the Fund I. Yankovsky and E. Karas, art curator of the Karas Gallery, announced the start of the Third All-Ukrainian contest of the best drawing “FAITH. HOPE. LOVE."
The development of children’s fine art is what we must pay great attention to. After all, the child must necessarily know and see that he is a talented Person, and in all creative endeavors he will be given the support of his elders. Competition of youthful and children’s creativity today has gone far beyond Ukraine. Expositions of the works of the winners of the drawing contest in recent years have been presented in Poland, France, Belgium, ahead - many other European countries.
The development of children’s creativity is simply necessary. While we can do what is in our power, we will do it. Both very talented children and those who are just starting their own creative path can participate in this Contest.
