Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts A. Pushkin will continue to conduct concerts and excursions within the framework of the festival "Friday in Pushkin" from mid-January. The first event in the new year will be the “Goldenkreis” concert of Austrian music from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, which will take place on January 14 at 19:30 . Festival events will take place on Fridays in the main building of the museum (12 Volkhonka).
In the new season, the program of the Fridays at Pushkinsky festival includes excursions to the main exposition and temporary exhibitions, including Jean-Hubert Martin’s project “There are strange encounters…”, an exhibition dedicated to the culture of ancient Egypt, as well as an exhibition-study of non-visual methods of perception. In addition to excursions, viewers will have conversations with curators and researchers of the museum, discussions about art and much more.
The concert program of the festival will include several piano, string and vocal concerts. An important event of the season will be the continuation of the Musical Masterpieces series of concerts, the first of which will take place on January 21 at 19:30. This evening, Riad Mammadov will perform works by Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, as well as the young pianist’s own compositions. The entrance to the concert will be carried out with a ticket to the museum and pre-registration.
The next concerts of the Musical Masterpieces cycle will be held on January 28, as well as on February 4, 11, 18 and 25 at 19:30.
In the new season, the festival will continue its cooperation with Yamaha Music, which will present talented young pianists as part of the concert program. The musicians will play the legendary Yamaha grand piano donated to the museum by Svyatoslav Richter.
The program of events for each Friday will be pre-published on the museum’s website.
