On February 27, 2016, the MosART Cultural Center launches a unique project dedicated to the Year of Cinema in Russia - the “Film Lecture Hall”. A series of fascinating meetings where participants get acquainted with the history of world cinema can be visited for free.

On February 27, the MosART Cultural Center will present its own film lecture hall. For the first time, on the basis of a cultural institution located in the Eastern Administrative District of the capital, an experimental format of lectures on cinema will be launched that implements several tasks: educational, educational and entertaining.

Classes in the Film Academy are intended for those whose work is somehow related to art, as well as for everyone interested in cinema. Meetings will be interesting to those who want to learn to understand and analyze films, touch creativity and gain new knowledge.

Twice a month, on Saturdays starting March 12, film critic and curator of social and cultural projects Elena Stroganova will become a guide in the complex world of cinematographic analysis and talk about cinema masters and independent directors, films that are the property of world cinema and less well-known films. At the lecture hall meetings, participants will talk about the work of such great directors as Eisenstein, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Antonioni, Fellini, and will be able to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of cinema of different periods.

Each meeting within the framework of the Film Lecture Hall is a mini-lecture on the history of cinema, viewing films or movie fragments with subsequent analysis and discussion.
