Exhibitions of laureates of the III International Competition "Caucasus: Attraction of the Future" and academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts in Nalchik

From October 15 to 20, 2024, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Nalchik, will host events of the third stage of the joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts and the All-Russian Public Organization "Union of Artists of Russia", organized with the support of the Parliament and the Ministry of Culture of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, which have been implemented in Nalchik since 2022.

Among the main events of the project is the III International Competition "Caucasus. Attraction of the Future" among young professional artists under 35 years of age, permanently residing in the North Caucasus Federal District, as well as in the Republic of Crimea, the DPR, LPR, the Republic of Adygea and the countries of the Greater Caucasus: the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. The works of the participants and winners of this competition will be presented at the final competition exhibition, the opening of which will be one of the central events of the current stage of the project.

Based on the results of the jury’s work, headed by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Z. K. Tsereteli, 56 artists out of 70 who applied were invited to participate in the exhibition, who will present their paintings, graphics and sculptures. The grand opening of the exhibition will take place on October 17 at 15:00 in the Kabardino-Balkarian Museum of Fine Arts named after A. L. Tkachenko (Nalchik, Lenin Ave., 35). The exhibition will be open to the public until November 10, 2024.

On the same day, October 17, at 17:00, the National Museum of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (Nalchik, Gorky Street, 62) will host the opening of an exhibition of works by academicians of the Southern Branch of the Russian Academy of Arts, which will last until November 23, 2024. The exhibition will feature paintings, graphics and sculptures created by leading authors of the region. During the opening ceremony, the winners and participants of the competition of young artists "Caucasus. Attraction of the Future" will also be awarded.

As part of the project, a series of scientific, educational and outreach events are planned: an international scientific and practical conference, painting master classes, creative meetings, educational and scientific-methodological lectures for students and teachers.
