Curators: Leah Chechik, Miriam Knotter.
“Kabbalah. Secrets of the Universe ”will be the first exposition in the renewed exhibition space of the Jewish Museum. The project, prepared in collaboration with the Jewish Museum in Amsterdam and the Jewish Museum in Vienna, will combine everything the museum has worked on over the past ten years: contemporary art, modern art and Jewish traditions. The exhibition will feature works by Anselm Kiefer, Mikhail Grobman, Sigalit Landau, Ron China from private collections and foundations.
In the art, Kabbalah found its expression through a set of visual and plastic images that spread far beyond the Jewish community. In the twentieth century, Kabbalah unexpectedly became a powerful source of inspiration for creators of all faiths - artists, filmmakers, architects and writers.
