With the start of the school year, the Izmailovo Gallery will resume its work as an interactive Museum-Workshop of Science and Creativity. This space, filled with ingenious devices, spectacular gizmos, alluring instruments and art objects, will attract the attention of not only children, but also adults.

Changing each other, the museum will unfold a series of expositions devoted to wildlife, man, space, physics, music and much more. Within the framework of the exposition, thematic master classes, lectures, exhibitions, as well as photo, art, multi-studio and technical creativity studio will be held. Each separate educational block will be devoted to one topic, which will be studied by the participants of the museum-workshop for several months. In the new season, classes in the workshop will be conducted by real scientists, artists, masters and teachers. Each thematic block ends with an exhibition of the participants’ works.

In September, the first exposition of the educational block starts: “Wonder of the World”. Why is the visible world so beautiful? What does it mean to "see"? When and how did the eyes appear? Why so many different colors? What have we humans learned to do with this magnificence? What new opportunities does the opportunity to see us open?

It will be possible to find answers to all these questions in the classroom of the Museum-Workshop of Science and Creativity in Izmailovo. Master classes in entertaining physics, biology, engineering, psychology, as well as painting, photography, cinema and animation will teach the workshop participants to understand the structure of things, the nature of phenomena and admire the beauty of the world. In the classroom, everyone will be able to ask their questions, find answers, take part in games and adventures, and make experiments and create works of art with their own hands.

“Secrets of silhouettes” - an exciting series of classes where participants will discover the phenomenon of “light”, get acquainted with the laws of the straight-line distribution of light, find out what role silhouette plays in creating a character and learn to separate a readable silhouette from an unreadable one, create a silhouette of your hero.

“Creating Stained Glass” is a practical course where participants will conduct experiments with a prism and a CD, work with color filters, using tops to explore the mixing of colors, and even create color shadows. Participants will find out where the rainbow, sparkling snow and dew sparkle come from. At the end of the lesson, the children will make their own stained glass window.
