Here, in Pavlovsky Park, from July 29 to August 5, the II music festival "The Brilliant Strauss" will be held. Continuing the tradition laid down last year, famous St. Petersburg artists prepared a program dedicated to the famous Pavlovsk seasons of Johann Strauss-son. His work has become a whole era for the Russian public and one of the brightest pages in the creative life of the “King of Waltzes” himself.
In the building of the now-lost Pavlovsky Music Station from 1856 to 1865, he played the violin for 10 seasons in a row and was conducted by the brilliant Johann Strauss-son. The main event of the festival will be the premiere of the operetta The Bat, which will be held on July 29 and 30 in the Pink Pavilion. Sparkling musical history will be performed by the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sergei Stadler, People’s Artist of Russia. Parties of the main characters of the operetta will be performed by Honored Artist of Russia Galina Sidorenko, Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia Vladimir Celebrovsky, laureate of international competitions Victoria Rebenko. Director Irina Fokina.
In addition, the festival program includes light tunes by Viennese composers - Schubert, Mozart and, of course, Strauss-son.
