The Union of Artists of Moscow Region non-governmental organization is an association of professional masters of fine art, created on the basis of the Khimki artists’ art works collective, which fell in 2006, according to former artists of the plant, as a result of a raider seizure of unscrupulous officials and irresponsible fellow artists-managers.

The unifying motive for the creation of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region in 2006 was the desire to preserve the creative potential of Moscow region artists who were left without workshops and actually lost their jobs.

Currently, the public organization "SHP" is one of the most mobile, most promising creative associations of artists of the Moscow region. It consists of more than twenty regional branches, which unite more than 700 masters of all types of art. Among the members of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region, order-bearers, honorary citizens of the cities of the Moscow Region, honored cultural workers of the Russian Federation and the Moscow region, honored artists of the Russian Federation, folk artists of the Russian Federation are full members and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Arts. Recently, there has been an active influx of new members into the Union and, which is especially pleasing, is the active entry into the organization of young artists. The Union of Artists of Moscow Region is the author and participant of large and significant exhibition projects: "Cultural Reality of the Moscow Region", "Shrines of the Moscow Region", "Days of Slavic Writing and Culture of the Moscow Region", "Russian Orthodox", "Women Artists", "and the artist created Portrait… ”,“ Counterattack near Moscow ”and others. From the X Moscow Region, participates in international Art Salons, which take place in the Central House of Artists (Moscow) -“ The First International Salon “The Way of Unity”, in the Central Exhibition Hall of Moscow “Art-Manege”. The group exhibition is attended by 16 authors. All of them are members of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region. They offer to the court of Moscow spectators about 40 paintings and graphic works, as well as handicrafts.
