The Graphics Department of the Russian Academy of Arts in the halls of the MVK RAX Gallery of Art (Moscow, Prechistenka 19) presents the reporting exhibition “Graphics 2019”. The graphics department is one of the oldest in the Academy, it was part of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, recreated in 1947. Now the Department is a creative, scientific and organizational center, uniting the most prominent artists working in various fields of graphic art - easel and print graphics, book illustrations, posters, caricatures.

A retrospective exhibition will introduce visitors to silk-screen printing Z.K. Tsereteli, lithographs by V.Yu. Zhelvakova etchings A.A. Lyubavina, A.B. Suvorova, N.N. Batakova, B.L. Nepomniachtchi, woodcut M.M. Verkholantseva, watercolors A.D. Shmarinova and A.N. Sinitsyna, works made in the copyright techniques of A.G. Akritas, D.N. Sandzhieva and D.V. Fomicheva. Viewers will see the unique works of prominent contemporary artists: M.N. Avvakumova, V.S. Akopova, O.A. Aradushkina, A.I. Arkhipova, N.V. Besednova, B.F. Belsky, O.V. Volokitina, N.L. Voronkova, Yu.A. Voronova, V.I. Galatenko, S.P. Gulevsky, A.E. Denisova, V.V. Dranishnikova, A.B. Konopleva, N.N. Korotkova, A.Yu. Kravchenko, T.I. Kurochkina, N.I. Lyubavina, G.A. Makaveeva, V.G. Mochalova, A.M. Muravyova, G.V. Namerovsky, K.V. Petrova, A.B. Popova, O.M. Savostyuk, S.I. Semenova, I.A. Smirnova, A.I. Teslik, A.A. Troshina, S.V. Tsigalya A.G. Yastrebenetsky working in various graphic techniques. The famous traveler, artist and writer F.F. Konyukhov, presented at the reporting exhibition works created based on the impressions and sketches of his many expeditions, round-the-world travels, swimming and ballooning. Particularly noteworthy are graphic artists working on the decoration of publications that successfully participate in Russian and international book illustration competitions.

The works of the members of the Graphics Department of the Russian Academy of Arts convey a wide range of areas of contemporary graphic art, performed in a variety of graphic techniques and are distinguished by a large thematic, stylistic and genre variety.
