June 14, 2016 at 16.00 in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts at the address: st. Prechistenka, building 21, an exhibition of the works of members - correspondents of the Russian Academy of Arts Olga Trushnikova and Sergey Mantserev - "Where the Parallels Come Together…" opens
The exhibition features more than 100 paintings, graphics and sculptures made by artists in recent years.
The creative fate of the artists whose works are presented at the exhibition has a lot in common. Both graduated with honors from the Penza Art College. K. A. Savitsky. Then, to continue their professional education, each of them chose his own university. In 1991, O. Trushnikova graduated from Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I. Surikov, an easel painting workshop under the guidance of Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts T. T. Salakhov, and in 1989 S. Mantserev, the faculty of monumental painting at the Moscow Higher Industrial and Industrial School (B. Stroganovskoye). Both artists are members of the Moscow Union of Artists, participants in many domestic and foreign exhibitions. The creativity of each of them is marked with a silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.
O. Trushnikova was born in Ulyanovsk in 1963. O. Trushnikova is a master of genre composition, she develops her powerful light structures in her own original manner, which allows herself to express herself in various areas of artistic creativity: ceramics, wooden sculpture, create graphic sheets and patchwork panels, however, the main passion of the artist is painting. Her works are characterized by non-standard imaginative thinking and the search for new plastic solutions that testify to the high professionalism and bright creative personality of the artist.
The world of O. Trushnikova’s works is filled with harmony and a feeling of special spiritual comfort. Her characters, written grotesquely and at the same time with gentle humor, feel naturally and comfortably in their midst. Intergenerational communication, the beauty of the surrounding world fascinate the viewer with a wealth of color composition, associations with the heroes of folklore, childhood, with its fullness beating over the edge. The patriarchal way of life with its slowed-down rhythm of life is invisibly opposed to the running of time in modern metropolitan cities.
The exhibition presents her work from the series "Favorite Artists". In these works, along with the recognizable style of the artists to whom they are dedicated, among which M. Chagall, P. Cezanne and others, there is complicity with the work of O. Trushnikova herself. And this is not accidental, because the idea was expressed in such a plastic way - all the favorite artists, together with the author himself, are members of the great community, whose name is the planet Art.

Sergey Mantserev was born in Penza in 1957. S. Mantserev is a mature master, an artist of a wide range, able to solve large-scale problems. In his paintings and sculptures, the artist freely moves from the traditions of the school of realistic art to the forefront with the goal of the most convincing embodiment of the task.
Enthusiasm for the mythology of the ancient Slavs led S. Mantserev to create the art project "Temple of the Light", dedicated to the last pagan temple of the ancient Slavs in the city of Arkona on the island of Rügen. This project has been praised for its originality. The twelve main compositions as the twelve gates of the temple are oriented to the signs of the zodiac. Using the preserved artifacts, the artist in a symbolic form that gives an idea of the structure of the universe, creates his own metaphorical compositions that allow you to feel the energy of the temple space. In the work of S. Mantserev, the tradition of the ancient Slavs provides an opportunity to rethink the pre-Christian past of the Slavs. In the artist’s works, it is revealed as an extremely important stage in the development of Slavic peoples, in contrast to the widespread opinion about his confrontation with Christianity.

For several years, the artist has been actively involved in the development of the project "Rest in the city", his sculptural compositions: "Friends", "Architect", "Young Mother" and others adorn the streets of his native Zelenograd.
S. Mantserev is the author of a memorial dedicated to Nicholas and Elena Roerich, installed at the International Center of the Roerichs in Moscow, as well as a sculptural composition, the characters of which are the characters of the story by V. Erofeev “Moscow-Petushki”, installed in Moscow on the Square of the Struggle.

The question of the existence of parallel worlds in relation to this exhibition is far from idle. As practice shows, spouse artists, especially those who, as the authors of this exhibition, have been living and working side by side for 30 years, do not just maintain their creative individuality, the imaginative systems and plastic techniques characteristic of each of them. Nevertheless, O. Trushnikova and S. Mantserev succeed in this fully because the academic school and common sources are the basis of mutual understanding on which this tandem is based.
The exhibition runs on July 3.
