FINE ART GALLERY 25 years in art Automatic translate
In April 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the Fine Art Gallery. Is it a lot or a little? Gallery owners believe they are entering a period of mature youth. Fine Art is one of the first galleries in the country; before that, gallery art did not exist at all. Almost all the galleries that arose in those years in Moscow now disappeared, which indicates the difficulty of this business in Russia. In fact, the Art Gallery is not even a business, but a way of life, service to the beautiful, only this way success comes. On April 17, a modest holiday is planned on this occasion within the walls of the Gallery, a large anniversary project will be held in 2018 at Gogolevsky 10 in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Over the years, more than 100 artists collaborated with the Gallery. With sorrow we recall the deceased Igor Vulokh (1938 - 2012), Eduard Gorokhovsky (1929 - 2004), Alexander Tumanov (19049 - 2013), Lev Kropyvnytsky (1922 - 1994), who were extremely happy to work with. The gallery continues to engage in the heritage of I. Vulokh and E. Gorokhovskiy together with their relatives. Developing the concept of the Gallery, we decided not to break with traditional visualization and not to change “plastic values”, we also believed that art should not be dependent on social and political problems, the construction of the “ivory tower”, “art for art” - that’s essence of our business. In this we were very different from other galleries. It can be said, we created a great style in contemporary art. At the same time, our projects from the first days aroused great interest from critics and the press, heated discussions and publications. The most important task of our activity from the very first days is the creation of the Russian art market of contemporary art. The first buyers of contemporary art were banks and corporations, but a noticeable growth in the art market began after 2002, when private buyers began to create their collections. Fine Art participated in the formation of a number of large collections, for example, I. Markin - the ART4 museum. RU, Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, A. Chekhoeva - “The New Museum”, V. Bondarenko, M. Tsarev, O. Zalomov, D. Ryabov Gallery Interests - painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, video, object, installations, performance in the context of contemporary art. The gallery held more than 250 exhibitions, including in the Moscow Museum of Fine Arts (the exhibition Self-Portrait, 2009, Holidays, Dmitry Shorin, 2011), the State Russian Museum (Solo Exhibitions by D. Shorin in 2008, E. Gorokhovsky “The Borders of the Rectangle - Mine unlimited space ”, 2004). The gallery participates in fairs in Russia and abroad, in international projects, auctions Sotheby’s, Phillips de Pury, contributing to the inclusion of contemporary Russian art in the global context. Among the artists of Fine Art are famous masters such as E. Gorokhovsky, I. Vulokh, S. Shablavin, I. Shelkovsky, A. Grositsky, A. Bartenev, F. Infante, I. Chuikov, L. Kropyvnytsky, K. Zvezdochetov, V. Koshlyakov, V. Dubosarsky and A. Vinogradov, D. Gutov, D. Tsvetkov, A. Savko, D. Shorin and others, as well as young authors, for example, A. Kuznetsova-Ruf, I. Korshunov, P Polyansky, T. Smirnov, E. Belyavskaya, I. Drozd, F. Riefenstahl. The search for young talents, the discovery of new names is one of the main goals of the Gallery. The exposition contains the work of the artists of the Gallery. The history of the Gallery is reflected in detail on its website. Irina Filatova, Marina Obraztsova
