Paul Nicklen is one of the leading National Geographic photographers who has received more than twenty international awards, including five World Press Photo awards. The exposition consists of 25 photographs devoted to the wild nature of Antarctica, the sixth continent - the most mysterious and harsh region of the globe.
Paul has specialized in shooting polar regions since 1995. He is concerned about climate change caused by global warming, which could cause the loss of the entire ecosystem. With his photographs, he draws people’s attention to this problem. His professional experience as a biologist in the Northwest Territories of Arctic Canada, combined with a good sense of photography, allows him to take amazing pictures in the most inhospitable places on our planet.
As a co-organizer of Paul Nicklen’s exhibition in St. Petersburg, artist Polina Rybina will present at the exposition several of her works in the style of abstractionism, made in mixed media using coloring pigments, epoxy resin and cement mixture. She began to create such paintings, skillfully mixing pigments, oil and acrylic art paints. Also, the artist participated in the Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2017, and the Affordable Art Fair Stockholm, Sweden 2017.
