PhotoPodium.com, an Internet resource supported by the Russian Academy of Arts (PAX), the Volga branch of the Russian Academy of Arts, the TSHR exhibition and educational programs, the TSHR Abstract Art section, the DavidGroup creative association, the Moscow Encyclopedias Foundation, present the international distinction photo exhibition )Lat. Abstractio).
Abstraction is a distraction from insignificant signs in the process of cognition. The result is abstract concepts, for example: color, beauty, shape, etc.
There are many types of abstraction: sensual, generalizing, idealization, constructivization. Any of these types will be appropriate at this exhibition. Thought can come to the abstract only on the basis of the sensual, so abstraction is a huge creative field for the artist. Accenting the form, color, light and lines of abstraction can cause both positive and negative emotions, causing a mental reaction.
Participants of the exhibition were able to express their thoughts, moods, and vision of the world not through a specific “postcard”, be it a landscape or a portrait, but through color spots, shapes, bold combinations of textures, shooting and processing techniques. These are collages, using only their works and their fragments, and computer graphics, and originally taken and processed photographs.
It should be noted that abstract photography is by no means always something unrecognizable, often this is a place or object that is familiar to the viewer, but seen by the author from a special, original angle.
The goal of this project is to step over the ordinary and surrender to creativity.
94 works of 75 authors from the Russian Federation, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Israel, the USA, and Ukraine participate in the exhibition.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on May 16 at 17-00 at the following address: Moscow, 2nd Bryanskiy per., 2 (metro station Kievskaya)
