On May 31, in the space of the Neglinnaya Gallery, an exhibition of photographs dedicated to metropolitan life in the area of Neglinnaya Street will open. The historical part of Moscow, inextricably linked with the culture of the city, will appear to the viewer in the works of his contemporaries. Through the camera lenses, visitors to the Neglinnaya and Neighborhood exhibition will see, captured in the moment, the life of one of the oldest streets of the Capital.
The photo exhibition was organized by the Neglinnaya Gallery together with the British Higher School of Design and the A. Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia.
Works for the exhibition will be selected based on the results of an open competition of the same name photographs. The theme of the contest is the new look of old Moscow, embodied in Neglinnaya street and its surroundings: historical monuments and the rhythm of the modern city, private houses and the territory of high life, street culture and artistic ambitions.
The goal of the project is to capture the changes in the life of a big city in photography, to combine the history and the present of a unique area near Neglinnaya Street, to show familiar things in new perspectives - using a camera lens.
What is it, Moscow for its resident or guest of the capital? How do students and office workers, actors and artists, professional photographers and beginners in the art of photography see “their Moscow” near Neglinnaya Street? You can see “Neglinnaya and surroundings” through the eyes of residents of the metropolis at an open photo exhibition of the works of the winners from May 31 to June 12 in the space of the Neglinnaya Gallery.
The exhibition of the works of the laureates will be held from May 31 to June 12 in the space of the first and second floor of the Neglinnaya Gallery. Official opening: May 31 at 19:00.
