At the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sergey Obryvalin, Director of Sokolniki Park Andrei Lapshin and Executive Director of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) Vladislav Kononov made a welcoming speech. The first tour of the exhibition to honored guests - veterans of the Great Patriotic War - was conducted by the scientific director of the RVIO Mikhail Myagkov.

The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate art and documentary films dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland (for example, “Battalion”, “Stalingrad”, “Brest Fortress”, “Block Post”, “Legend No. 17”). The mobile transformer module, in which the exposition is located, is equipped with equipment for showing films both inside the “hall” and outside - in the variant of a summer cinema. In addition, the exhibition will broadcast photographs on the topic of Russian and Soviet cinema.
