Until May 22, 2016, at the main entrance to the Sokolniki park, the photo exhibition of the Our Military Heroes Russian military-historical society will continue, which is a mobile cinema and museum at the same time.
In addition to photo frames from your favorite films, examples of uniforms and weapons from the Great Patriotic War are shown here, as well as a screen projector for broadcasting military films.
At the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sergey Obryvalin, Director of Sokolniki Park Andrei Lapshin and Executive Director of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) Vladislav Kononov made a welcoming speech. The first tour of the exhibition to honored guests - veterans of the Great Patriotic War - was conducted by the scientific director of the RVIO Mikhail Myagkov.
- This is a good symbiosis of history and cinema. A wonderful example of a mobile exhibition that can reach any city and corner of Russia. Having come to this exhibition, people will be interested in and review films about the Great Patriotic War. Young people may see some films for the first time, ”said Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sergey Obryvalin at the opening of the exhibition.
The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate art and documentary films dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland (for example, “Battalion”, “Stalingrad”, “Brest Fortress”, “Block Post”, “Legend No. 17”). The mobile transformer module, in which the exposition is located, is equipped with equipment for showing films both inside the “hall” and outside - in the variant of a summer cinema. In addition, the exhibition will broadcast photographs on the topic of Russian and Soviet cinema.
- We are very pleased that the photo exhibition Our Movie Heroes has begun its work on the territory of Sokolnikov. Shots from the legendary Soviet films demonstrate the heroic deeds and how a person should relate to their homeland, and we hope that the exhibition will contribute to the formation of cultural memory and patriotic feelings in modern society, ”said Sokolniki Park Director Andrei Lapshin.
An unusual exhibition in Sokolniki Park will last until May 22, 2016.
Opening hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Entrance for visitors is free.
