At my photo exhibition, I wanted to collect photographs - the faces of my contemporaries, with whom my life brought me together, who were interesting to me, with whom I was familiar, and with some I did not know!

Like most photographers, my love for photography appeared in early childhood, when my parents and I gave my sister a Smena camera. Then there was the "Amateur." I really liked sitting in a dark room, in silence with a red light and waiting for the image to appear in the bathtub with the developer.

Born in Moscow in 1943

In 1960, after graduation, I entered the Tambov Aviation Technical School, after which I was sent to serve in the Northern Fleet aviation in 1964, and in 1970 I was enrolled in the Air Force Academy. N.E. Zhukovsky.

After graduating from the academy in 1974. continued his service in the Northern Fleet and in 1988 he was discharged and returned to Moscow.

I can’t say that during the service I devoted a lot of time to photography, since the service took up almost all the time, day and night, flights to alternate airfields for several months, and military training. He was engaged in a lot of rationalization work, being the secretary for the development of the compound. The main hobby during the service was sports. He played for the Northern Fleet and the Murmansk Region at various all-Union volleyball competitions.

Photography firmly entered my life in the late 90s, when at work, knowing my hobby, they asked me to photograph the objects on which work was carried out, and then all the staff on personal matters. So he became a freelance photographer. And the love of portraits arose even from the service. I had many subordinates and it was always interesting to peer into their faces to try to understand what this or that soldier is like, what kind of soul a person has, what his inner world is. And now I am trying to convey this inner world of man in my photographs.

In 2009, my friend and housemate Alexei Rezaev brought me to the Creative Union of Russian Artists (TSHR) in the Art Photo section. So I met with Ivan Borisovich Porto and Maxim Kireev. Honestly, they did not immediately accept it.

This acquaintance gave a lot in terms of understanding what photography is, what is the art of photography. I learned a lot anew, I learned a lot and am learning.

He began to make reports on the activities of the TSHR, many of which were in various collections and catalogs published in the TSHR. Gradually they began to recognize me, to invite me to the shooting of various events taking place not only in TSHR, but also in Moscow. Visiting theaters, museums, concerts, attending parades on Red Square dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, participating in veteran organizations - all this gave me a lot of material for creativity. I spend a lot of time filming my native Moscow, its history, its monuments and memorials, its architecture, both historical and modern. I love shooting nature in the Moscow Region, Orthodox churches and monasteries. A large archive of photographs of foreign countries where I went on tourist trips. Communication with my colleagues in photography always gives me a new additional impulse, new topics and ideas. I continue to study photography with my colleagues - photo artists, and I am happy to be in the wonderful creative team of photo artists in the TSHR Art Photo section.

Now I am a photo artist - a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. My works were exhibited at photo exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, in the cities of Dmitrov, Ivanovo, Kolomna, abroad - in Armenia and in the USA. Photographic works are regularly published in annual issues in the Art Today catalog of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, in the ARS LONGA, Russian Art catalog of the Russian Academy of Arts. He was awarded the Diploma, Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal of the TSKhR for his contribution to the national culture and fine arts, a Certificate of Appreciation from the Russian Academy of Arts for the organizational and exhibition activities of the TSKhR.
