Alik Yakubovich - photographer, poet, member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia. On his account more than a dozen photo exhibitions and cultural projects. His solo exhibitions were held in Russia, France, England, USA, Japan, Germany, Israel and other countries. Since 2002, Yakubovich has been working in the genre of social reporting, mainly with black and white photography. He is the author of the sensational projects “Black and White Love”, “Strange People”, “Chkalovskaya Stairs”, as well as “The Reverse Side of the Striptease”, “Boys” and “Is It Easy to Be Young?” He is the author of six books in the genre of acoustic photography.
Work on the Workshop project lasted about six years. To capture the places of creative seclusion of contemporary famous artists and sculptors, Alik Yakubovich visited various parts of the country: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Sviyazhsk, Zvenigorod and other cities. The photographer in Russia was looking not just for work, but for special sacred spaces.
The author himself says: “… I came to artists - this is my space in which I have lived all my life… Here I see how people live without a computer, how they really create something, these workshops that I always dreamed about, where some secrets, some, I don’t know, vices are sewn up. This is my space… ".
At the exhibition in “Khazine” you can see about forty photographs depicting the creative process of artists Rashit Safiullin, Ilgizar Khasanov, Rashid Tukhvatullin, Viktor Timofeev, Irina Vasilyeva, Oleg Vdovin, Sergey Ledkov, Asi Feoktistova, Alexander Lavrov, sculptors Vyachev Vladimir Kokurin.
The exhibition runs until September 18, 2017.
