The new exhibition at the GUM-Red-Line Gallery is part of the collective project Philosophy of Common Affair, which consists of two parts: a joint action with the participation of famous Russian contemporary artists, held at the 7th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair, and an exhibition of the works of its participants in the gallery space.
The exposition is made in the form of a symbolic archive fund: the work of prominent representatives of the Russian contemporary art scene is a material documenting a time section, a fragment of the general picture of art from the beginning of the 21st century. Visitors to the gallery find themselves in the repository of artifacts of the era and witness the cataloging of our time. Mobile stands with the works of artists allow you to change the scenography of the exhibition during the entire time of its work. After the completion of Cosmoscow, a 140-meter canvas painted by artists during the action of collective creativity on September 5 and 6 was divided into semantic fragments and supplemented the exposition in the gallery. Thus, the works of artists are demonstrated at the exhibition in a sequence, in which visitors can also participate by creating mobile stands according to their preferences. Having changed the usual exhibition format, the gallery will turn into a space for interaction with works of art.
