Guests of the event will have a chance to appreciate the beauty and talents of older artists, take a fresh look at grandparents, an example of which defeats stereotypes about adulthood. These are active and creative people, they are busy with what they love, learn new skills and are an example to follow, a source of life experience and genuine optimism.
The festival reformatted the folk song genre, made it interesting for new generations: bright, spectacular and understandable. At the same time, the color and deep meaning of folklore and ritual traditions, which have more in common with modernity than is commonly believed, is preserved. Viewers will be able to find ironic parallels with reality in the songs “I didn’t think to get burned today” or the ditties “Siberian Matanya”, they are performed in a circular dance, which is a prototype of the modern “battle”.
The festival will feature songs that do not exist in the recording. They were passed from mouth to mouth by specific regions, regions and countries. During the performances, the artists will also demonstrate unique pieces of jewelry and details of costumes, which are 200-250 years old.
The concert program includes folk and original songs of the Moscow, Tver and Kursk regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Mordovia, the Udmurt Republic, as well as Serbian and Bulgarian folk songs, Siberian chatterboxes, ritual and temple songs, Cossack tunes, a potpourri of Mordovian songs. Many compositions are performed acapelo. The show numbers of the participants are supplemented by folk musical instruments and dances.
Within the framework of the festival, an Exhibition of Culture and Folk Art of Nationalities will also be held, prize drawings for guests and spectators will be organized. In addition, a discussion part in a public talk format is planned at the round table “Preservation of spiritual values and folk traditions - the basis of mutual understanding and stability in a multinational state’.

Commented by the President of the Association of Supporting Pensioners, Veterans and Disabled Organizations, Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Regional Public Charitable Organization “Union of Pensioners of the Moscow Region” Valery Rodionov: “Today, folklore traditions are gaining a new interpretation and understanding. Young people begin to realize that “grandmother’s songs” are not just couplets from childhood, it is a repository of generational experience that has always been transmitted from person to person and has not been recorded anywhere. The festival provides an opportunity to touch the mystery of a folk song and get invaluable experience from the lips of talented representatives of an older age. ”
The organizer is the International Public Fund for the Protection of Human Dignity and Security with the support of the Moscow regional public organization “Union of Pensioners of the Moscow Region”, the Association for Support of Pensioners, Veterans and the Disabled, with the assistance of the All-Russian public organization “Union of Pensioners of Russia”.
