The MAYAK Festival announced the postponement of the event until the fall - the largest festival of contemporary poetry will take place on September 11 in the Sevkabel Port space. This is due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation and “covid” restrictions in St. Petersburg. Despite the postponement, the previously announced lineup is preserved in full format - the poet and playwright Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, the Zerolines group with Oleg Nesterov, the Yekaterinburg group Kurara, singer Grechka and other poets and musicians will perform for the guests. Earlier it was reported that the event will take place on July 31st. Tickets are available at www.mayak.ru and www.sevcableport.ru.
All previously purchased tickets are retained. In case of a refund, you must contact the ticket operator between June 30 and July 15 and fill out a form on the website https://customer.ticketscloud.com/auth.
This year the LIGHTHOUSE will be held for the third time: 5,000 guests at each event, more than 200 participants in the entire history of the project - actors, poets, writers and major artists of the music scene. The LIGHTHOUSE Festival is the country’s main poetic event.
The extensive program of the Festival is divided into blocks that will take place on two stages: the “Port” stage with the main program and the “Tide” stage with young and topical poets. There are two categories of tickets: daily program only or all day (day and evening programs).
On the Port stage, the festival will begin with a public talk about the poetry of the future, which will be attended by poet and media manager Demyan Kudryavtsev, poet and playwright Andrei Rodionov, curator and art critic Liza Savina and editor of Afisha Daily magazine and book reviewer Yegor Mikhailov. The discussion was moderated by producer and TV presenter Alexander Malich.
"Poetry" is the second part of the program of the "Port" scene. Vadik Korolev, frontman of the Moscow indie band OQJAV, will perform his own poems and classics by Nikolai Nekrasov and Osip Mandelstam, whose anniversaries we are celebrating this year. The soloist of the electronic duet AIGEL Aigel Gaisina will introduce her poetry, highly appreciated by famous writers and critics. The leader of the PTVP group Leha Nikonov will read his uncompromising lines and poems of the Damned Poets. For the first time in a long time, the duet of the poet Andrei Rodionov and the musician of Christmas tree toys Alexander Zaitsev will present a joint electronic-poetry program. Writer and media manager Demyan Kudryavtsev will read his poems. Also, Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, a prose writer, playwright and poetess, produced in 20 languages of the world, will perform with her poems and songs.
The "Port" stage performance program will introduce the audience to intriguing collaborations at the intersection of genres. One of them is the performance "Damned Poets" for the 200th anniversary of Charles Baudelaire. The headliner of this part is Zerolines, a project with the participation of Oleg Nesterov, in which streaming video is combined with a live performance, without an author and without restrictions, only pure intuition and sound.
The Festival ends with a large musical program. Among the headliners is a young singer and songwriter Grechka, who released this spring a new disc "Not at all", as well as the flagship of the Yekaterinburg rock scene, the Kurara group. The program will be supplemented.
The Tide Stage will present young and contemporary poets who will read their works, while the evening program will be filled with poetry in acoustics, experimental electronics and indie music. The Sparkle project will perform its minimalistic and sophisticated compositions. The Tripinadva group will sing touchingly and ironically about the romance of the big city. Poet Vanya Pingzhenin will recite poems accompanied by electronic music and spectacular video sequences as part of the Ordinary Passenger of Tram No. 7 collective. St. Petersburg musician and songwriter Grigory Polukhutenko will also perform on the Priliv stage, and the fem-punk group Perecore, consisting of the duet of the poet Irina Volynskaya and producer Sergei Efimov, will introduce the musical and poetic underground.
The host of the festival is producer and TV presenter Alexander Malich.
