April 13 - May 28, 2019
The new festival of Russian contemporary art GUM-Red-Line in GUM on Red Square represents the work of the best Russian artists of our time, working in different directions.
2019 program - One Family Exhibition and Festival arose from the art project Contemporary Art on the Cover of BoscoMagazine. For four years, starting in the spring of 2015, 16 famous Russian artists created their original works on the theme of the family. Each BoscoMagazine cover became an exhibition of one painting.
The project was attended by:
Vladimir Dubosarsky, Oleg Kulik, AES + F, Andrey Bartenev, Pavel Pepperstein, Gosha Ostretsov, Georgy Totibadze, Konstantin Zvezdochotov, Alexander Vinogradov, Sergey Bratkov, Semen Faybisovich, Grisha Bruskin, Aidan Salakhova, Bella Levikova, Irina Koriner Tanya
Their work, made specifically for the magazine, is united by a single theme for all time. The family theme - understandable and immense, the key theme of Bosco - became the starting point of the project.
In the spring of 2019, visitors to GUM on Red Square will have a unique opportunity to see all the art covers of BoscoMagazine together, as well as get acquainted with the work of each of the project participants. On the first line of the store will open the exhibition "One Family", representing a variety of genres of contemporary fine art in Russia: painting and graphics, videos and objects. The exhibition space will be organized in the format of 16 art pavilions designed by the WowHaus architectural bureau (Dmitry Likin and Oleg Shapiro).
In each pavilion, viewers will be able to see information materials about artists created specifically for the festival. Video films mounted from interviews of artists will allow a wide audience to evaluate the life and creative position of each project participant.
