Digital Art Festival "New Media Night" in the village of Nikola-Lenivets Automatic translate
The Moscow Exhibition Halls Association (Electromuseum) will take part in the upcoming Digital Art Festival, New Media Night in the village of Nikola-Lenivets, and will immediately present six original projects by Rodchenko School students.
“New Media Night” is an annual large-scale festival combining new audio-visual technologies, architecture and the natural environment.
The Electromuseum is the new venue of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association, whose focus is media art. The curators of the Electromuseum are well-known artists Alexei Shulgin and Aristarkh Chernyshev. During the festival, they will present the projects of six authors - students of the school of photography and multimedia. A. Rodchenko.
In their “forest interventions”, young artists experiment with various optical, electronic and computer technologies and boldly integrate them into the natural environment, creating conceptually and formally vibrant objects that play up existing common discourses related to nature and technology. The range of topics of the presented works is quite wide - from media conceptualism and simulationism to eco-techno-fetishism and environmentalism.
Authors and projects:
1. Evdokia Dergilev “Mirror Capsule”
2. Marina Rudenko “My Mushroom Mushroom”
3. Olga Shapovalova “Pixel Riot Police and Broken Pixel”
4. Sofia Mavzalevskaya “Charge from iCostra”
5. Nastya Bezrukova “The Ghost of the Living (Creature Sign)”
