On the second floor of the Gallery of Classical Photography, there are about two dozen selected works of the last representative of the "golden era" of analog photography, American photographer Christopher Burkett. The last time stunning photographs of the "color guru" were shown to visitors with great success in 2019 at the "Brilliant Color" exhibition. And today, admirers of the master’s creativity have the opportunity to refresh old ones and get new impressions.
In 1975, as a member of the Christian community, Burkett became interested in photography as a means of expressing the divine grace, light and beauty he saw in the natural world. And for more than four decades, he has created what many consider the most flawless and vibrant color prints in the history of photography.
Christopher shoots exclusively on film, develops and prints photographs himself, without resorting to computer technology. His nature is an untouched landscape of the American wilderness, which he seeks to transfer to photographic paper, preserving the truth of what he saw as much as possible.
The exposition runs until March 28.
